Bloomington Indiana Elm Heights Neighborhood Information Elm Heights lies directly south of the main part of the Indiana University campus. It includes owner occupied homes and student rental homes and apartment buildings. The homes in the western part of the neighborhood were built in the early 1900s. The majority of homes were built in the 1920s. Some "in fill" homes were added after World War II, with very few built after that.
